The Windows Desktop Search Add-in for Lotus Notes is a protocol handler that allows you to index the content of Lotus Notes e-mail, contacts, calendar items, and journal items stored on your computer.

Once you have installed this Add-in, Windows Desktop Search (WDS) will index the content of your locally stored Lotus Notes databases. Indexing will occur when your PC is idle, or when you tell WDS to ‘Index Now’. Once the index is updated you can immediately search your Lotus Notes content.

Note: Please uninstall any previous versions of the Add-in for Lotus Notes before installing this updated version. After you install this Add-in, please ensure you select the databases that you want included via the Windows Desktop Search preferences screens.

The tool is very useful, but apparently not working "well" with Notes 8. Im sure it will be needed by plenty of people, that is if someone builds one.

Don't like it
Great Tool but Crashes too much (3/28/2007)
One of the much needed plugin for enterprise but definately behind "other search program" in reliability. Windows Desktop Search 3.01 with this plugin(1.0.4.0) constantly crashes and 3.00 is more reliable but isn't as good as 3.01 at indexing, occasioanlly causes local database ACL permission corruption as well.
