Windows Media Center Gadgets for Windows SideShow (32 bit) includes four gadgets—TV, Music, Pictures and Video, and Now Playing—that you can use to control most Media Center functions from a SideShow-compatible device.

For instance, you can use the TV gadget to browse the program guide, schedule recordings, and browse and play back recorded TV shows. With the Music gadget you can browse and play music. Use the Pictures and Video gadget to browse pictures on your device and play slideshows and video. The Now Playing gadget provides information on what is playing in Media Center and provides playback controls like those on your Media Center remote.

Note: This gadget is for the 32-bit version of Windows Vista. If you’re running the 64-bit version of Windows Vista, download and install the 64-bit version of Windows Media Center Gadgets from the Windows Live Gallery website.

Hate it
Doesn't Work for Latest Vista MC (04/11/2008)
The gadget is incompatible with TV Pack 2008, the latest version of Media Center. It simply refuses to install. Hopefully this is just an installer version mismatch, and can be fixed quickly.

Media Center gadget uninstallable on Win7 (03/12/2009)
The current release of Media Center Gadget is not supported on Windows 7. Setup detects Win7 and stops. Will there be an update available.
