If you read Tamir Khason's blog, you will know what happened. Basically, Microsoft wanted Tamir to gift all the rights for his work on the gadget back to Microsoft. So he instead created a new gadget which works through Automotive.com and provides the same information without going through MSN Autos. You can read his blog by clicking on his name on the MSN GasPrices gadget and scrolling down to "Gas Price Windows Vista SideBar gadget – new version is available for download".

This used to be an awesome gadget, but now it just shows little red x's.

Nothing but red X's for my area... worthless. Don't waste your time on the download.

Well gadget would be nice BUTTTTTTTTT I go to display stations and prices and the station names show up but the prices are ALL red X's. Kinda hard to tell where to go for the cheap price like that and changing cities does not do the trick.

Im picky on toolbars and this is one of my few. Saves me money! It does NOT slow my computer down as it has with others so try it out! The only thing Id like added is a way to select a set path like "work" or "school" to see all gas stations in between home and work/school compared to find the cheapest since most people make that drive the most.

Basically, I downloaded this and really liked it at first because it worked pretty smoothly and was very accurate. Unfortunately, it locked up my AMD Turion 64x2 processor and I couldn't do squat. I hope this gadget is fixed because it's really nice.

Has worked pretty good in my area, but still depends upon input from local users. Found it to be very useful... but Since this only updates once a day, the pricing is usually not real time. Still a helpful gadget and better than many of the others out there!

This may be good to find out how your local oil baron is doing but is useless otherwise, I mean WHO CARES? If it showed the gas stations and street location YES! But it doesn't )c8; Anyway, I am in Australia so it's even MORE useless for me *LOL*
