This is a really, really good idea. I have seen gadgets galore, but this one is head and shoulders above most of the rest. It is inspired. It serves a purpose that is so commonly required by so many people that we must ask why Vista doesn't have this Gadget as standard! The only problem is actually deploying this idea. The Gadget is simply way too big. Can I suggest that it consists simply of icons for the class of file, i.e.: Documents, PDF's, Sound Files, Presentations etc.. Only clicking the class of file icon, it opens up to show the recent files under that particular category?

I have Windows 7 64-bit, and observe two problems: (1) the "pin" button often gets offset into the second line of the entry, making the list "grow" longer. And (2) new recent items don't show up until I restart the gadget... Unfortunately (2) is a blocker for use. I would really love to see tis fixed.

1. The text is huge. Heeeeuuuuuuge. And the spaces between the lines are equally huge. As a result, this gadget takes up way more space than it needs to. 2. Please add some options for the bacground. It doesn't need to be fancy bitmaps or anything, just a few color options like black, blue etc.

This is a really marvelous gadget, I couldn't live without it, excellent idea, even though the background image was a little off but its ok, since we can change it, the only problem so far is that when I Pin certain document, the gadget does not stay pinned if I reboot my computer, so it doesn't really stay pinned forever as I would like, can you fix this little problem in the next update, thanks
