Working for me (10/29/2007)
This one is a tricky one to get working, you have to add login.facebook.com and www.facebook.com into your IE trusted sites. Then you need to use the gadget to sign in and set the required permissions to allow it access to your facebook account. Not an install and go gadget like most, shame the writer hasn't provided instructions. As for the gadget it seems quite useful, certainly saves logging in all the time or leaving facebook open permanently. Will use it for a time and see if its a keeper, does take up a large amount of space on the sidebar, could possible be smaller with more flyouts.

It Does Work... (4/10/2008)
It's actually quite good. Took me around 15mins to set it up but it annoyed me that people thought it didnt work so i wanted to see for myself. In the application settings you have to add the live feed addresses yourself. This is the confusing bit. The application can not do this for you as each feed is unique to the individual user. If you do follow the ''here'' links the page may or may not open. Either way...its still easy to do. Simply log into your facebook account as usual through internet explorer. Click onto your ''status updates - see all'' bit. On the right of the page you will see the 'search friends' box etc. A few lines below this (probably at the bottom) there is a section that says 'suscribe'. Select 'Friends' status feed' and then, on the next page, subscribe. Find where you save the feed to (in vista there is a 'feeds' button next to your favourites once selected in internet explorer) Right click on the feed you have subscribed and select properties. The second box down is the feed address. Copy this into your application box. Click 'ok' and there you have it. Repeat for notifications feed!!

Yep it works (11/16/2007)
It was actually quite easy to set up and get it running once you know where to go and what to do. Just follow Jer's intructions and it works perfect. In case you don't know how to get to your IE Trusted sites, from your browser click on "Tools" and then click on "Internet Options" and then click on the "Security" tab and then click on the button with the green check mark that says "Trusted Sites" and then click on the "Sites button. Uncheck the "Require Server Verification (HTTPS://)...", then add the 2 addresses "www.facebook.com" and "login.facebook.com". Once that is done close all those windows and click on the sidebar app where it asks you to click. From there you should be able to get your 6-digit code and enter it in the app options. I hope I've explained it properly so all those people screaming "IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!" can all get it working. Good luck.

I like the other FB gadget (5/10/2009)
This one is very basic but worked for me for a year. I like the other Facebook gadget on the main windows live gallery page much much better though. I used this one for a while, but when the new one came out I switched.

Doesn't work for me (10/23/2007)
Just shows the facebook logo. When I click on that, it launches Facebook to supposedly log in, but nothing changes in the Gadget even though I'm logged in.

Me neither! (10/24/2007)
I thought I'd give it a go anyway despite the fact that people reported it not working. Alas, they were right, and i wasted my time.
