It's okay
It tracks, but poor interface (10/28/2007)
I does what it claims to do--that is I put in my tracking number and it accessed the site fine. But, the gadget is huge and cannot be adjusted. The color also can't be changed, so if you have a black background, you just won't be able to see this black gadget very well. I installed the PackageMapping gadget at the same time to get a comparison, and I prefer that gadget. The length of that gadget can be adjusted, so I can show just one shipment at a time or 10 shipments if I wanted to. You can also adjust the refresh interval, so I can have it check only every hour or have it rapidly update. PackageMapping has a blue & white interface, so it looks okay on most backgrounds, but it can't be changed. My suggestions would be to add: *length adjustment *refresh interval adjustment *background color change

THIS SUCKS (10/16/2007)
It doesn't refresh, it thinks FEDEX numbers are USPS, and there is no option to tell it which carrier you intend to watch. Use the add-on for Firefox instead. It is FAR better.

Avery Universal Package Tracker is free web based tracker (11/18/2009)
Hello, I like the package tracker but i work on multiple computers and have to track the same packages from different locations. Try this free web based version avery.com/tracker. You can do fast tracks without having to log in or you can log in and save up to 50 tracking numbers. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Undefined (5/13/2009)
Always shows the packages as defined. There are better gadgets out there that aren't so easily confused.

No Longer Works (2/10/2009)
This gadget used to work well for me. I've mainly used it for UPS and FedEx shipments and have never previously had a problem however now (February 2009) the gadget always reports "Service Unavailable" for any package, so it seems that the service it was using is no longer running. Unfortunately I've been unable to find any other package tracking gadgets.

Not working for FedEx (11/25/2008)
I've tracked 2 UPS shipments and that works ok, but I just tried to use it for the 1st time for a FedEx shipment and get "undefined." I tried removing the leading 0 on my tracking number, but that didn't help. It would be a good idea to be able to choose the carrier in case the logic in the programming is "decerning" the carrier by the number, which over time could break as the carrier runs out of numbers in their otherwise defined numbering convention.

No way to easily update the status. After system restart, takes a lot of time displaying 'Error in the tracking number' until it finally realizes that the system was restarted. You close the gadget, all info is lost.
