Just Boxes (15/10/2007)
I think that you may be running into limitations on the font you're using - not all fonts have glyphs for all characters, and many of the specialized characters (in more obscure scripts such as Linear B and Sanskrit) only appear in a handful of available fonts. I'd recommend checking out the help file for tips on finding a font that contains the character set you're looking for -

Symbols won't display (11/10/2007)
Same problem as AdaLiu_20. A lot of symbols just appear as boxes. Have messed about with size and even restarted my machine on off chance of that solving it but no joy. If anyone knows a solution it would be most welcome.

I can't change alphabets (19/10/2009)
Every time I try to change alphabets, it switches back to Hiragana. I've tried submitting this review a couple of times, so sorry if it appears again!

Works Well but Pointless (24/03/2009)
Works fine for me (I just used the Japanese Hiragana). I agree that stroke patterns are very important for Japanese, and this program is lacking. Another point is that naming the letters as ``a`` or ``i`` just doesn`t make sense. Anyway. It`s not so bad assuming you at least know the pronunciation and stroke orders already - albeit completely pointless.

Not bad at all (27/08/2008)
Lots of options, very good for practising the basics. Would be even better if there were kanji too as they are the characters which are REALLY hard to learn and just as important! but the concept of this gadget is great!

Okay (05/07/2008)
First of all, it is hard to write since you cannot see where your mouse is, but for someone that is learning, it would be a good program

Great! (06/03/2008)
This Gadget is really good! I tried using it with Thai, because I'm learning it and its good. Allows me to test my knowledge everyday to keep my skills good. Now I'll beable to read Thai fluently hopefully!!

Nice Idea (18/01/2008)
I think the only thing missing, is some kind of stroke order indicator, which is very important in Japanese scripts.

Great Practise! (01/01/2008)
I love it because it's great practise for someone like me who has learned Hiragana and contstantly needs to remember the characters. PS: Skulblaka, when tentens are added to the 'shi', it's sound turns into 'ji', not 'zi'. :)
