Windows Live Favorites does not work with The new Windows Live Toolbar Beta version that was just reased for testing. Does anyone no how long it will be before it works with it.

A note to all users downloading this button. Windows Live Favourites has been discontinued by Microsoft. My assumption is that this is the reason why syncing no longer works. Because there is no service to sync with!

Favorites is one of my most used items. Now, with Windows Live, it doesn't work at all-no matter what I do. This is causing me so many problems that if MSN doesn't fix it in the immediate future, I'm just going to toss the whole computer and go buy a Mac. I'm tired of all of the problems with PC.

Did anybody experience the same symptoms described on the review "Cannot get the sync to work"? (by hubyhu627 on 9/21/2006) I have the same problem too... the sync works fine at home but fails in my office, because of that I'm suspecting some port being used but I haven't seen any information about that. Apart from that, I think is too bad that the settings for the Live Favorites to resolve conflicts have "always use local computer" and "always use server" but there is no option to use the one with the latest timestamp. I find that if I delete something in the web server and then the next day I sync I prefer the server to prevail (because I deleted that favorite entry on purpose and I also want to make it disappear on my computer) but if I updated one entry locally, then I want my computer to prevail. Timestamp makes more sense but unfortunately it was not included as a valid sync option. Because of this to issues, I don't think I'll use Live Favorites anymore. (I'll give Google Bookmarks a try).

Why on earth would Microsoft develop a service such as WLF only to leave it out of the current beta builds of it's products - without explanation? It is frustrating to no end every time I come to use and realize some productivity gains from certain services only to have them removed in the next version! If I can possibly rant a little further, why the need for 2 different toolbars (Windows Live / MSN) anyway? Isn't it confusing enough and a complete waste of time / effort by your developers to have to develop and support 2 different product streams which should be combined in to 1? Take the best of both, mash them together, and stop forcing people to have to download multiple utilities so they can get something useful at the end of the day. I'm so confused at the choices that Microsoft is making with all it's products lately I don't know whether to upgrade, downgrade, crossgrade or ungrade and go buy a Mac.

When I try to sign in, this error appears "There are network connection problems. Please check your connection and try signing in later." I've been trying to get the live favorite sync to work for months. It still doesn't work.

I have notice that for the last few builds, Live favorites is not remembering the login credentials in Windows Vista. I am hoping that this gets fixed soon. Other than that I love this service.

With The new version of toolbar doesn't work the favorite toolbar.

I havre used this feature for a long time now Please get this feature back up and working with the new toold bar. I dont want to have to go to the Firefox alternatives.
