Hi, I am not able to install this gadget (other gadgets install without any problem). I download hit install and after that it does not show-up on the Sidebar. Any idea's what the problem could be?

I've tried all the drive info / monitoring apps I could find, and none are perfect. But Imp has come close to what I want. I've run into two issues that I'd hope can be corrected. 1) When I select a large HDD to monitor that contains no data, the resulting image distorts in the sidebar. I can only see a shadow outline of the gadget and the height / width ratio is out of proportion. I've seen this with other drive info gadgets too, so I suspect Imp's recycling bad code. 2) After a day or two of running, CPU utilization climbs up to >50%. As soon as I close the gadget I drop to <10% utilization. Again, I've seen this in other apps too, so more bad code.

I like the gadget, but it needs some fixes. It has a memory leak, and very high CPU utilization. The longer it runs the worse it gets.

I really like this gadget, but it has a minor "memory leak." What is happening is that you constantly are adding to a DIV element named "targets" and never do you reset it. So after a few hours, you actually have a really huge element. To fix this, just add 'targets.innerHTML = "";' at the top of the function 'showDrives()' in gadget.js. That is all you need to do for this thing to be absolutely perfect.

The first I saw that works well, even with more than one drive. I did´n tested in my home PC with 4x 500GB HD, but in my office computer it works well!

The main feature of this gadget is working good, the graphics are what you would expect. But after that there is not much else. Of annoying things, it returns to black text every time you change any setting which is not the color. It does not support multiple drives, you have to start more gadgets, which opens up for alignment problems for gadgets on the desktop. Of missing features are drive activity with the icon or a "LED" lighting up and more label and text customizations. With a bit of polish this gadget could easily be worth 5-stars

As gadgets go, im getting more use from Imp's Drive Info than any other. Installs to Win 7 64 bit in a snap, provides easy volume info and access to each with a click. The initial postings about memory leaks raised an eyebrow but code assists from Whiskey put this little thingamagig right. Thanks to the author for some great work.

Nice and clean. Works great although the text could be a bit larger.

Haven't run it long enough on win 7 to detect any memory leaks but shows up both local and mapped network drives space so good for allowing me to see when my media centre has filled it's recording drive. thanks
