Checks for snipping tool in wrong location (25/05/2007)
Looks like it would be very valuable but even if you can get it installed on Vista Ent x64 it is looking for the snipping tool in the wrong location so it errors out.

Hate it
Doesn't Install :( (31/05/2007)
I'm on Vista Ultimate x64 and it says I need to have Snipping Tool installed prior to installing the plug-in. I checked and I do have Snipping Tool on my system, so I'm thinking the code needs updated...

Don't like it
Be great if it was written properly... (17/07/2008)
The pre-install detection schema is borked on Vista, and looks for the WIN32/XP Powertoys install; not finding it, the installer jams up with a poorly-planned dialog providing a button labeled "download and install" which does neither, merely opens a browser instance to the aforementioned PT page and kills the install. The other button, a declination, simply kills the install. No information is provided in the dialog to suggest the install would be terminated should the user do anything, nor that once the install process is killed the installer directory and files will remain, which could -possibly- lead to the user manually deleting them resulting in a busted Add/Remove entry scenario or at least registry detritus from a busted msi installation. The dialog should at the very least have correctly-labeled buttons and provide the user some recourse should the install be destined to fail due to sloppy code and not user error; simply running away as it does is irresponsible and potentially deleterious to the user's configs.

It's okay
If you know how to use it, it works just fine. (29/02/2008)
Don't have the snipping tool open before you click on it in the writer. If you allow the plugin to do all the work for you it works wonderfully.

No work - reports no image in clipboard (30/10/2007)
I have installed this on the latest version of Live Writer with Vista Home Premium and it just reports - no image found in clipboard. It is easy to post the captured image to Irfanview or any image editor - so must be in clipboard
