Works as described and adds great functionality to the sidebar. You can easily toggle on/off by clicking the gadget. 5 stars!

Good idea, half-assed implementation (28/08/2009)
One important bit of functionality is destroyed by this gadget. In Windows pressing Win+Space displays the sidebar. If this gadget is activated, this keyboard shortcut is lost, which basically kills its usefulness. Make Sidebar unhide itself by Win+Space and this gadget will indeed become very nice.

I love it - I need it - I want it - But it doesn't seem to work with multiple monitors. It always restores to the main monitor no matter what monitor the toolbar is assigned to. I will keep watching for an update.

only one issue: when sliding back the taskabar, it's not so smooth as the hiding.

When I click the hide button...It just pops up with a box saying "HiderHelper.exe has stopped working"
