Now that the bug with the internal and external IP adresses has benn solved, this gadget is once again the best there is in this category. Great job!

this gadget does everything it sets out to do. the external ip works fine. and the upload and download are very accurate. and this even works on windows 7

Version 3 now fixes a problem I had with the external IP reporting No Connection in version 2.1, even though it had correctly reported it before. Love the total usage information. Nice work!

The latest build has, at least for me, resolved the issue with the internal and external ip addresses not being shown. and as far as the complaints about the faulty uninstall, that has nothing to do with the gadget. your system is blocking you from making changes. correct the permissions for your user account, or log in with administrator access

Best network meter i've found so far. Shows all the important stats easy 2 read & follow with a scrolling usage graph a must have feature 2 see what's really going on.

I have had V5.0 working for a long time. Upgraded to V5.1 - nothing. Using vista 64.. Tried V5.0 again all ok....tried other netwrok meters - again all ok... Tried V5.1 again - absolutely nothing...IP adresses change etc but the actual meter just sits there....by way of info been running it alongside V5 and also Network MonitorII. Both these work ok and are comparable in readings. V5.1 Just sits there and does not run at all apart from the ip addresses. No display at all when bits or bars are selected. Display rate just does not work at all.

Doesn't work... 5.0 recognized my network adapter no problem, 5.1 has no response, no activity. The speed test doesn't work either: it complains that I need Flash 8+, and I have 10.1 installed.

This is just what I was looking for and I was able to get rid of another gadget.

To uninstall, simply quit sidebar and goto: <system root>:\users\<you>\appdata\local\microsoft\windows sidebar\gadgets\ and manually delete it yourself. This is to get the library file out of use since it is loaded by sidebar.
