DOESN'T WORK (5/11/2007)
Vista Ultimate, Live Messenger 8.5, gadget is empty and just shows 'undefined' in the title bar.
If you want a big white rectangle in your sidebar, then this is the gadget for you!

Doesn't work - Author unresponsive (26/11/2007)
Wrote a email to the author and did not get a reply. There also doesn't seem to be any other IM Messenger gadgets being made and I now wonder if MS made the change to kill the gadget because they use advertising on Messenger and this gadget allows you to get around it.
That's my theory at least why we haven't got an update or why we haven't seen others. MS is not releasing the information to fix this.

Great Gadget (6/11/2007)
This is a great example of what a gadget should be. I love having my buddy list in a simple, little list ont he side of my screen. Great job and keep up the great work. BTW, this works flawlessly with the new Messenger 8.5.

Good, but has a few problems (6/02/2008)
This is a very useful gadget that works okay. But, there are some problems. One is that it causes messenger to open very slowly when the gadget is docked. Another is that it sometimes causes me to automatically log off messenger, during which, it shows that there are no other contacts online. Another issue(not really a problem) is that it sometimes doesn't display the contacts personal message next to their name or when you leave your cursor over their name. Overall, however, this is a pretty good gadget and if it worked exactly like messenger itself, it would be the greatest gadget and most used. (at least by me)

not working (2/10/2007)
Since I was foreced to upate my LM to version 8.5 this no longer works. Is there a fix?

Great app but still too big for me (5/10/2007)
I'm just trying this for the first time and it seems to work fine (Messenger 8.1). One thing though - the minimum height one can set is 150 (px). Makes sense I guess, assuming one has many contacts, but I only need to show one or two, so I have a lot of wasted real estate. Allow a user to size it down to about 75-80, and it's even more of a winner. :)
