This program says it's a twitter client for the sidebar, but it automatically installs something called Raptr which appears to be an IM client. It never asked my permission or gave me the ability to opt in or out of this installation. Possibly malware.

This is a great app that captures much of twitters look and functionality within the confines of a small gadget window. It also adds useful functionality beyond what is offered by twitter (i.e. new post counts) As long as this app continues to be maintained and updated, this one is a keeper.

I was getting tired of waiting for Chirpr to add simple features like Retweet and some basic UI configuration capabilities. This thing is fantastic for folks that want a Twitter client available on their desktop at all times! Great quality for a v1.0!

I'm using this on Windows 7 RC and an 1920x1200 desktop, so I'd like an even larger than the "larger" size and a bit less box-y design. But I've been disappointed by countless AIR, .NET, etc. clients, so it's nice to find one that doesn't hog my PC just to display a box with some messages in the corner while still offering some "advanced" options like search and trending topics.

Really well made Gadget, very useful.

Indeed a very good gadget for v1.0. Nice set of functions, very complete. But, and its an important but, the minimum refresh rate is 3 minutes. 3 minutes! Twitter moves at a very fast pace, so even the standard 1 minute per refresh can be slow. It should at least have that. Also; at the top, the big "T" and the description text ("Time-line" and the sort) are taking space. Maybe put them together in a single line, and perhaps also unify it with the "post update" button (which should better be named "new tweet"), which also takes space at the bottom. Lastly, the fly-outs are way too big. Really. P.S. A hippier name would be nice... Embrace the "tweet" trademark...

This is a nice Twitter Gadget for the Sidebar. It keeps you posted with what's new on Twitter, but could use some updates. You should be able to press [Enter] to post, and it would be nice to update when you send a Tweet, but still really good.

can someone let me know how dis thing is used?
