Doesn't work on my computer. I'm running Vista x64, maybe that's the problem. Cool idea though.

I see the "eye" but there is a box over the top of it with an X in the top left corner. I assume that is the "button" to make it talk. Cool idea if it worked.

Sad it doesn't work on 64 bit Vista. This would be a fun app.

I love this gadget. Great job on putting it together. The HAL 9000 red "eye" looks fantastic on my desktop. In addition, you did a nice job of sampling the various vocal clips of HAL from Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey". Would you possibly consider doing a gadget for the SAL computer from the film "2010: The Year We Make Contact"? I believe that the SAL computer's voice is that of a female. Would love to have contrasting HAL and SAL gadgets on my desktop. Hope that you give it a try. Take care.

For a toy, it works very well. It loaded very fast, and worked immediately. The sayings are a bit limited but it is pretty cool.

This widget is very cool and works perfectly, IF you fulfill the system requirements. You HAVE to get this if you're a fan of 2001!

it loaded fast and immediately worked great --did not repeat itself -the other reviews i have no idea what they are talking about -apparently it was fixed --if the programmer of this is reading this please make it so you can pick one track to play over and over when you click it once --it would play my favorite track only when i click it --great entertaniment when i have a visitor
