Great Idea.. but a few things I would change (not like I would know how!!) (18/12/2008)
Unlike another similar gadget I found (Shutdown Gadget), thankfully there are standby and hibernate buttons, but I agree with Geoffrey. The standby button does NOT standby; it hibernates. Also, these are trivial matters but I did prefer the look of the Shutdown Gadget. I would have liked to see the corners more rounded to fit the look of most other gadgets in my sidebar and I did not like the "LOCK ON/OFF" addition. I just prefer a cleaner look and don't think I would click one of the buttons on accident anyhow. Lastly, I don't care for the clock, but that is why there is a clockless version! I will say, though, that using the Control System Gadget is MUCH better than having to go through the Start Menu bar to accomplish these tasks. Thanks Keat!

Thieves (31/12/2008)
Just thought everyone should know, since I just found out, that AddGadget has stolen many gadgets from other Creator's. For Example, ALL CPU Meter was actually created by: Orbmu2k. You can find the original at: thehobbylounge.com/forum/index.php?topic=1825.0. And the backgrounds for this Gadget have been stolen from THL also. The Slider effect was created by a Sharon Paine, a simple search on google will tell you this, but there is no mention of this author anywhere in the gadget, and all of the copyright notices, that the author stated to not remove in the slidein.js file is removed. Clearly Keats has no respect for the code in which was stolen. Then asks for a DONATION??? HA HA! Try to be original 1st, or atleast give credit to the original authors of the gadget, and perhaps you should give them 1/2 of what you get in donations! I pity you and all your kind!!!

Great but... (20/11/2008)
The standby seems to actually go to hibernate; rather than a low power state and keeping session memory only.

Um--NO! (03/09/2009)
No, Gates didn't "borrow" this (windows) from Mac OS. Jobs got it for free from Xerox, who developed the PC and the GUI. Then he was indignant when Gates "stole" it from him. I wish all you know-it-alls would research your computer "facts" before you start imparting your wisdom.. So many talk of the wonder of the Mac. It would help if Jobs hadn't been such a snob!!!
