Admin privileges required? But I am an admin. (11/22/2008)
No "shielded" options appear (the pop-up label for this button says, "Administrator privileges required for these controls"). Other options all prompt for elevation as needed. No instructions, no help, no forum discussions that I could find for this problem. I suppose I could try logging on as "the" administrator, but life is busy enough already. I'd like a gadget with these features that just installs and works, without any troubleshooting or tweaking. Great idea; these choices should just be READILY accessible in the OS as it ships--as should the option to simply stop the indexer until manually restarted.

Does the job really well (11/12/2009)
I dont know how many times Outlook has told me "all results are not available" because indexing hasnt finished. This nifty tool allows you to raise the priority, or stop, the indexing service, making the waiting so much shorter.
I think I discovered a small bug in that pressing "index now" a second time seems to lower the priority. That isnt really logical in the interface, but just a small matter.
