First of all, thank you for your effort. This is the best GMail gadget. Unfortunately now it doesn't work anymore. :( Still stays gray. Can you help me, please?

Mouseover Feature Removed?!? (4/14/2008)
I loved this program before the mouseover feature was removed. My internet connection isn't great so it was nice to mouseover to see if I had any emails. I see no reason why this would be removed.

Maybe because... (11/10/2007)
Maybe because some people like to have a choice? Not everyone wants to have another icon in their notification area.

Antivirus error (4/13/2008)
I keep getting AVG popping up when I try to install this. I keep getting: C:\Users\<me>\AppData\local\MS\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\gmailcounter.gadget\wobtoolkit.js Warning: Hidden Extension.js Anything you can do about this? I know it's not harmful, as I've used this before, but I can't get it to work with the AVG warning popping up all the time.

Uhhh... Try Gmail Notifier (9/14/2007)
Why on earth would you use this space-wasting 3rd party app instead of Google's own Gmail Notifier which does the same thing, only better, and takes less space?!
