Helpful but limited (2/11/2008)
I found this gadget helpful but very limited. It would help if it somehow alerted me to new emails instead of just checking when I sign on and not refreshing.

AOL: WAKE UP! (2/7/2008)
This one is pretty sad. It's pretty useless and has absolutely no features. You cant even log out.

Seems to stop working after about 30 minuts (12/7/2008)
The idea behind this gadget is just what I was looking for. It installed without any problems, and seemed to work beautifully. However, after a short-period (like less than an hour), it seemed to just stop....the number of new messages it showed didn't change (regardless of weather or not messages were added/deleted). I tried uninstalling and re-installing, re-booting, etc. No change. Maybe it's because I'm running Vista 64-bit? There doesn't seem to be any support for this. And, it's hard to know if the problem is the gadget itself, or Vista. Oh well, no choice but to uninstall.

This Gadget does not work! (3/20/2008)
AOL Mail and AIM Gadget does not work. The only thing that it works is that it dose show your email but you cant not send messages or you cant read them. And the other thing is you cant see you friend list or send im. So if you are reading this do not download AOL Mail and AIM gadget so go download something ales.

Useless, mostly for show (12/29/2007)
I was very excited to see this gadget after I installed AOL Desktop. Wow, I can preview my emails as they come, how awesome. What must happen if I click on one of them.. Well, very little of the message shows, and if it is an HTML email, I see mostly code, but okay, it's supposed to be compact, I get it. So, I go ahead and click open my inbox... aol desktop load (sometimes it doesn't load or do anything at all, but okay). Alright, now, the part that pissed me off. I have the latest version of AIM (which is 6.5 not 6), when I click on that, and I don't have my separate AIM apps logged on and running, I get a dang error. When I do, it loads my AIM app to be visible on screen...SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T LOAD AT ALL. Like most things Debugged and done by aol, it is majorly incomplete. Get a better staff, damn. This is supposed to be a gadget, not a compacted set of half working shortcuts!

Another crappy software title from AOhelL (11/13/2007)
I got this gadget because I thought it would be a lifesaver to have my email streaming live on my Sidebar. What a letdown this "bad-get" was. First of all, it does NOT stream mail live. I am honestly surprised when it connects, because it doesn't so many times. This shows you NO useful information about your mail. It displays the headers of each message (partial, mind you), and that is it. And it is extremely buggy. This is a great example of why I am fighting my hardest to move away from AOhelL to other products and services that function better. Please don't download this abomination.

Aboslutely Worthless (9/20/2007)
The gadget did work fine, but was not as i expected. Its pointless just a glorified link to aim and the buddy list. I was hoping for maybe a mini version of my buddy list on my sidebar. That would be helpful in cleaning up my desktop.

Needs Improvement... Otherwise utterly useless rubbish (9/8/2007)
If it took up the whole sidebar on my next sidebar page it would be awesome.. It would use all of the aim functions and take up less space on my desktop... since i've had vista i have my aim window on the left and sidebar on the right... very cluttered and it would be nice to just click next to get to my aim window.
