This plug-in works great. The only thing wrong about it is there are two instances of the plug-in on the right-hand tool pane and in the plug-in section of option. I uninstalled, checked it, reinstalled and it was the same thing.

This and the embed video gadget are very useful. I would say, it should have part of the Live Writer. It would have been great though, if there were keyboard shortcuts for these emoticons. Prolly asking too much.

Without this your writer just isn't complete at all. You need to be able to insert Emoticons, and this plugin will give you access to MORE emoticons than the standard online Spaces blog-writer!

This gets my recommendation as a WL Writer "must have" - can't understand why it's not in there as standard, so kudos on "ScottIsAFool" for doing this. Pretty good - only improvements I could have suggested would have been tooltips on the emoty selection, or possibly as a toolbar. But I'm not sure if the latter's even possible. :) Installs easily - if you follow the instructions - didn't even have to shutdown WLW. Only thing I had to do was to change the install location - which was wrong for my install of WLW.

Installed and ran fine - no issues. I liked the other smiley/emoticon plugin better though, it had more features and I can add in my own emoticons.

Just like the others I have to say that this is really a must-have gadget that should have been incorporated into the Windows Live Writer from the beginning (on the other hand - it's never late to add it, Microsoft). Great job! Just one little feedback - the gadget inserts the emoticons a bit differently than the web-based editor. I mean the align of the emoticon image within the text SHOULD be "MIDDLE" or event. "ABSMIDDLE", not on the bottom of the text (you know what I'm talking about). It would be great to fix this!
