If the sound was only audible when NEW mail arrived it would be much better. As it is, I just have to turn the sound off.

It's okay
Umm... OK - but sound keeps going off when no new mail..?! (11/23/2009)
Yes - not a bad app - but let down, because it keeps giving me an audible email alert sound even though there's no email! Just as another user said - I had to turn of sound notification in the end which is a shame.

You are right about the description, but it looks and works just fine tough.
Leave the sound notification out and it's a than is a verry nice addon
