Hi- This is James from the magazine team. A couple of weeks ago we changed to Windows: The Official Magazine, and as a consequence the gadget stopped working. We will be releasing an update in the very near future with some new features, so please download the gadget and let it update. Thanks.

The gadget is broken since June. They know about it, has to do with domain change. They should stop providing the download until it is fixed. In the meantime they are driving people crazy that don't realize that it can't work at all causing them to waste time figuring out it isn't their computer. They should put a notice in place of the download until it is fixed. That would be the considerate thing to do.

Neither their website or gadget work with vista sp2 running IE 8.It's a shame as they have some useful information.I think they care more about windows 7 coming out than to repair their website or gadget so they will work with vista.

Like everyone else is saying this gadget use to work but stopped working after some updates. Fixing it would be much appreciated.

Your sidebar has stopped functioning ( connection error). I don't know if it is service pack 2 for Vista or is something is wrong at the web site. I have used the contact us and sent an email about this problem. I really enjoyed using your sidebar gadget.

I like this sidebar to keep up with daily news updates you don't normally hear in the main stream. Keep up the good work!

The gadget worked well for about a moth or so. Now it says "Connection error retry". Am connected to WWW and no probs surfing etc so reinstalled. Still the same problem. Help! Put ok purly because it's not working now, otherwise brilliant when working.

I am running windows 7 Ultimate 64 and I just loaded Official windows Magazine gadget and I can read any article and as I am typing this it keeps updating itself with new topics to look at. Try it! You might Like it!

I don't know why more folk download this cracking gadget? It works 100% fine on all of my pc's and without any hassle! My tip of the day is simply drag it off the sidebar and let it "float" on your desktop. All round a handy little application!
